How to Change the Mode From Bow to Rifle on Leupold Rangefinder?
The Leupold rangefinder has two modes – Bow and Rifle. To switch between them, press down on the Mode button. This will select either ‘Bow’ or ‘Rifle’ depending on which one you’ve previously selected.

Leupold RXi Review
Leupolds’ new RX-1400 is the company’s entry-level rangefinder. It’s really a mid-rangefinder that’s packed with great features. The Leupolds RX-1400 TBR/W Range Finder is lightweight, ranges fast, and is super easy for archers. Plus, it lets gun hunters fine-tune steep slope-ranging accuracy simply by identifying the cartridges they’re shooting.
The most important feature is the included Bow Mode which uses the distance and direction of your shot to calculate an accurate ballistic equivalent to the target, giving you a distance measurement that compensates for the lessening effect of gravity on very long shots up or down.
Bow mode is essentially angle compensated ranging, which gives you an accurate distance measurement that takes into consideration the shorter distance your arrow travels along the longer steep angled distances your arrow will travel.
For rifles, Leupold uses a term called true ballistic range (TBR). Other manufacturers call it horizontal component distance (HCD), or angle range compensation (ARC).
To compensate for steep terrain, you may need to adjust your aiming point by ten yards. This means that your line of sight to the target should be adjusted accordingly.
In any event, Leupolds let you choose “Bow Mode” which gives you angle-compensated ranging for archery. You can use it up to 175 yards, then switch to LOS mode.

RXi Fantastic for Bowhunters
The Leupold RX-1000i TBR/W was an excellent choice for my archery elk hunt. It was easy to use, had great battery life, and provided accurate distance readings. I could see a target up to 1,400yds away, and it also worked well in rain, fog, and snow.

The top and bottom are covered by rubber overlays that make them super grippy. This particular model is 4 inches long, 3 inches tall, and 1.4 inches wide.

The Fog Factor
The Leupold RX- 1400i TBR/ W Rangefinder is waterproof and Fog Proof, which means it should not fog up on you. You may have some trouble if it’s misty out because the laser beams could get refracted by water particles floating in the atmosphere.

The Red Display

How to use TBRW?

You must choose a factory round of ammunition before you can use any of the other modes. Once you’ve chosen a factory round, then you can select one of four different modes: BAS, HOLD (holds the trigger), MIL, or MOA. Each of these modes allows you to set the magnification and reticle type.

Leupold’s can be used to determine how far away an object is. They can also help you calculate how much more or less power you’ll need when shooting at different ranges.

What’s Your Load Group?
You chose BAS, HOLD, MOA, or Trig. After choosing your group, the RX-1450i prompts you for a zero range. This means you’re shooting at a specific distance, such as 200 yards or 300 yards.
Groups are used to determine what type of ammunition you need to use when shooting a particular caliber rifle. For example, if you were using a.300 Winchester Magnum, you would be in group 22 because that is the group number for the 300 Winchester Magnum.
