Assembly Required

Step one: Put everything together. Yes, there’s some assembly involved.

It takes a long time to get everything together. The optic came with a riser to match an AR rifle.

Understanding the Optics (The Lenses)

Next up, the magnifying scope-like thing is the basis for the other two. With a magnification range of 3-9x, it has an objective lens diameter of 32mm.

It has three rails so you can attach things to it. There are five different brightness settings.

It’s not really a range-finding riflescope. Instead, it’s just a regular riflescope with an odd reticule.

There is a standard crosshair with some hashes but at an unknown distance from each other.

Scope Features

The scope has tactical turrets that are finger tippable. Each turret is ¼ MOA per adjustment.

It may require just a slight touch of pressure, but if you press too hard, the turrets might move several steps instead of one.

Red Dot Madness

The red dots provide an open-top, round-shaped optic with both red and green illumination settings and four different reticle types including circular, crosshairs, single point, and no points.

Where does the red dot live?

Mounted to the front of my rifle, acting as a close-quarter backup.

Mounting a red-dotted reticle to a magnifying scope is not unusual; however, mounting one this large to a scope is strange.

It effectively doubles the height of the optical portion of the lens and makes the entire package extremely tall.

To adjust the red dot, you’ll want an Allen wrench. It’s not ideal, but it’s what it is.

A fun fact: The reticle’s location isn’t where you adjust it; rather, you adjust the entire body of the scope to put the reticle where you’d like it.

The Laser

The beam from the fiber optic cable is easily activated by pressing a single button on the back of the device.

However, the bad news is that this green laser doesn’t really get brighter than 10 yards away from its source. It shines bright enough for you to be able to spot it up to 50 yards away from its source, but not so bright that you can actually use it to hit something.

It’s surprising that the laser is one of its most capable components.
