What is Pinseeker on Rangefinder? – Everything You Need to Know

Do you want to know what the pin seeker on the rangefinder is?

Let’s find out.

What is Pinseeker on Rangefinder?

The PinSeeker option only selects the flag and not the background image. When in the PinSeeker mode, when you press the “on” switch, a circle will appear around the small pin and flag symbol on the lower left side.

These are saying that the flags 30 yards behind your position aren’t being targeted, but rather the flag itself.

How Bushnell Digital Technology Works

The Pinseeker 1500 uses an advanced digital microprocessor and ASIC chip to provide instant and accurate readings every single moment.

Sophisticated digital technologies instantly calculate distances by measuring the times it take for each pulse to travel between the rangefinders and targets, and then back again.

Ranging Accuracy

Under normal conditions, the ranging accuracy of the PinSeeker 1500 is plus or minus one yard/meter.

The maximum range of an infrared thermometer is determined by its ability to detect heat from a given object. For most targets, the maximum range is 1,000 feet / 305 m; however, for highly reflective surfaces, the maximum range may be up to 1,500 feet / 457 m.

Note: Depending on the reflective properties of a given surface and the environmental conditions at a given moment, you may be able to measure either longer or shorter distances than indicated here.

All these factors affect the color, surface finish, and overall appearance of the target.

Color

The brighter the color, the longer the range it offers. For example, red is highly reflective and therefore has a greater range than dark blue, which is less reflective. Shiny finishes provide more range than dull ones.

Size

It’s easier to hit a smaller object than a bigger one.

Angle

The direction from which you shoot also affects the distance you can hit a given object. A shot aimed directly at a given object gives you better range than one aimed at an object at a steeper incline.

Lighting Condition

Additionally, lighting conditions (e g., the number of sunrays) will affect the maximum range of the device. The fewer sun rays there are, the further the maximum range will be.

On the contrary, very sunny days will lower the battery’s maximum capacity.

Adjusting the Eyepiece

Your Pinseeker 1500 is built with a twist-up eyepiece designed for comfort and to eliminate extraneous lighting.

To use an eyecup for people who don’t wear glasses, pull the eyecup down until it clicks into place.

The Pinseeker 1500 has an extra-large field of view. Make sure the eyecup setting is set to “down” so that you can see a full field of view.

How to lower the eyecups?

To rotate the eyecups clockwise, push them down slightly and then lift them back up again. You can also adjust the eyecups so they’re partially open (fully up) and partially closed (fully down).

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Indicators

The Pinseeker 1500’s display shows an illuminated indicator that advises the operator when the laser is active and when the laser is locked onto a target.

Unit of Measure Options

The PinSeeker 1500 measures distance in yards or meters. The unit of measurement indicator is found at the bottom right corner of the display.

If you want to choose between feet and inches, quickly press and release the power button to activate the unit (top of the unit) and then use the eyepieces to view the display. Then, press and hold the MODE button until the screen changes from inches to feet.

Active Laser

When the crosshair surrounds the aiming ring, it indicates that the beam is being sent out. You can then press the power button to activate the weapon.

Once the laser has stopped transmitting, the crosshair circles will be gone.

Optical Design

Magnification

The Pinseeker 1500 has a powerful 7x magnification monocular for viewing your targets.

Coatings

Optics are fully multi-coated so they allow maximum light transmission for optimum brightness, superb resolution, and high-quality images even in low-light situations such as dusk or dawn

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)

An LCD is mounted inside the optical assembly and when activated, displays an aiming reticle, yardage markers, and mode indicators. Small black dots appear in the optical assembly during manufacture.

These are natural characteristics that cannot be completely removed during the manufacturing process. They don’t affect the distance performance of the device.

RainGuard

The outer surface of the objective lens is RainGuard coated.

Larger uniform droplets scatter more sunlight, resulting in a darker, murkier image.

Tripod Mount

Attached to the bottom of our PinSeeker 1500 is a threaded mounting plate that allows you to easily add a camera support system.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Bushnell V2 is showing Error E31, what to do?

E31 is a coding problem. It usually occurs when you use non-alkaline batteries or let them die inside the device. Alkaline batteries produce enough power for the laser to function correctly.

Had to replace the battery on my Tour V2 twice already this summer. Is this normal?

Yes, this looks like a hardware issue. Contact the service center for further assistance.

Conclusion

With its Pinseeker 1500 with slope mode premium digital golf laser rangefinders, Bushnell helps you plot your way across any course, eliminate guesswork, and reduce your shot count in every round with a variety of advanced targeting options and high-accuracy optics.
