Which Sidearms Can Get Tap The Trigger And Rangefinder? – Complete Guide

People often ask, which sidearms can get tap the trigger and rangefinder?

Let’s find out!

Which Sidearms Can Get Tap the Trigger and Rangefinder?

The following is a list of sidearms that can be used with the Tap the Trigger and Range Finder. The list includes pistols, revolvers, semi-automatics, and shotguns.

Destiny 2 Menagerie weapons

The Menagerie was one of the biggest changes coming to Destiny 2, and it’s not hard to see why. With the introduction of the Menagerie, players could finally access older items they had previously missed out on.

But the Menagerie wasn’t just about getting back lost loot; it also brought new Destiny 2 Menageries weapons and armor set drops. We’ve highlighted seven of those new Destiny 2 Menagerie drop rates below, along with the corresponding Triumphs you’ll earn once you complete each one.

Menagerie SMG: Calus Mini Tool

The Calus Mini tool is a better version of the Mida mini tool, a legendary SMG which is meant to be used with the Mida multi-tool exotic scout rifle.

This gun wasn’t made with destiny 2’s initial double primary weapons system in mind, so today it’s not that powerful, but with the right rolls it can still do decent damage, it’s not a great PVP pick, but it’s enjoyable in PvE, especially if you’re a mida fan.

Look for aggressive perks such as grave robber and slideways in slots 1 and 2 respectively, and for slots 3 and 4, surrounded is your best option for a big damage buff.

  • God roll PvE perks: Grave Robber / Slideways + Surrounded
  • God roll PvP perks: Eye of the Storm + Tap the Trigger
  • Recommended Masterwork: range or handling

Menagerie Sniper Rifle: Beloved

Beloved is the newest addition to the Crucible arsenal, but it’s also an excellent PvE weapon. Its high damage output and ability to hit multiple targets simultaneously means it’s capable of taking out enemies quickly, especially when paired with the right perks.

It’s the only weapon that can roll No Distraction, which helps reduce flinches when you’re scoping in, and it also features Snapshot in slot one, allowing you to take advantage of the extra accuracy provided by the perk.

In slot two, Fourth Time’s the Charm is a great choice for PvE, and both Quickdraw (for PvP) and Moving Target (for PvP) will help you stay alive. If you really need to get better at hitting distant targets, a Range Masterwork will improve your aim, and a Handling Masterwork will increase your rate of fire.

  • God roll PvE perks: Snapshot / Field Prep / No Distractions + Fourth Time’s the Charm / Box Breathing
  • God roll PvP perks:Snapshot / No Distractions + Quickdraw / Moving Target / Box Breathing
  • Recommended Masterwork: handling (or range if you have Quickdraw)

Menagerie Machine Gun: Fixed Odds

Fixed Odds is a brand new gun in Destiny 2. It’s a powerful weapon that can shred through enemy armor and flesh alike. Like all weapons, it comes with perks that help you get the most out of your play style.

For example, if you’re playing solo, you might choose to take the “Surrounded” perk so you can keep an eye on your surroundings.

On the flip side, if you’ve got a team of friends helping you out, you may opt for the “Feeding Frenzy” perk instead. Either way, you should find plenty of fun ways to customize your loadout.

  • God roll PvE perks: Feeding Frenzy + Rampage
  • God roll PvP perks: Under Pressure + Rangefinder
  • Recommended Masterwork: range

Menagerie Hand Cannon: Austringer

Austringer is an awesome weapon in Destiny 2. It looks, feels, and plays great. You can choose between three rolls, each with its own pros and cons.

In PvE, Outlaw is your best bet, but Rampage is also solid. Demolitionist is a great choice for slot two, especially if you’re playing PvP. The optimal roll for PvP is Eye of the Storm because it gives you ridiculous accuracy and range. A range of Masterwork will make this thing go absolutely nuts.

  • God roll PvE perks: Outlaw + Rampage / Demolitionist
  • God roll PvP perks: Eye of the Storm + Rangefinder
  • Recommended Masterwork: range

Menagerie Sidearm: Drang (Baroque)

Like the Calus mini tool, Drang baroque variant is designed to be used with an exotic weapon. Sturm recently received significant buffs to his PvE damage output and magazine capacity, so the Sturm/Drang combination is a far better choice in PvE than it was before.

In PvP, however, it feels just as weak as ever. You’ll swap between Sturm and Dran often enough that quickdraws and snapshots are excellent choices for slots 1 and 2 respectively. Disruption break is a solid masterwork choice for slot 1, and the zen moment is a decent pick for slot 2. Handling is a good masterwork choice for slot 3, but any gun that doesn’t auto-reload dran will do.

  • God roll PvE perks: Quickdraw / Disruption Break + Snapshot / Swashbuckler
  • God roll PvP perks: Quickdraw / Eye of the Storm + Snapshot / Zen Moment
  • Recommended Masterwork: range

Menagerie Fusion Rifle: The Epicurean

In Season of Opulence, the Epicurean received a significant upgrade. It was the only weapon capable of rolling with Swashbuckler. When used against enemies, it would instantly destroy them. Other weapons were not able to do so.

However, Epicurean had a number of drawbacks. Its damage output was low compared to other weapons. It also did not benefit from any perks. To make matters worse, it could not be equipped with any mods.

  • God roll PvE perks: Feeding Frenzy + Swashbuckler
  • God roll PvP perks:Tap the Trigger / Under Pressure + Rangefinder / Backup Plan / Moving Target
  • Recommended Masterwork: range

Menagerie Shotgun: Imperial Decree

If you haven’t got the curated Threat Level Shotgun from Scourge of the Past yet, then Imperial Decree is your next best friend. It’s a 55-RPG kinetic shotgun that can also take advantage of Grave Robber and Trencher Barrels, which is an extremely powerful combination in both PvE and PvP.

Other great PvE bonuses include Slideways and Feeding Frenzy in the first slot, followed by Swashbuckler and Rampant in the second slot. For PvP, we would suggest Dust Rock Blues instead, but a good choice would be Slideways, Rampage, or Moving Targets.

As usual, the Imperial Decree has very short-ranged starting stats, so extra ammo capacity is really helpful in PvE. In PvP, though, you’ll probably find yourself rolling with Slideways and Snapper anyway, so extra ammo capacity won’t make much difference.

  • God roll PvE perks: Grave Robber / Feeding Frenzy + Trench Barrel / Swashbuckler
  • God roll PvP perks: Slideways + Moving Target / Rampage
  • Recommended Masterwork: range
