How to use SLR Magic Rangefinder?
The SLR Magic Rangefinder app allows you to take photos using your smartphone camera without having to remove it from its case. It then uses the phone’s GPS signal to determine where the photo was taken, allowing you to tag it with location information. SLR Magic Overview
This SLR Magic Rangefinder allows you to focus without worrying about the distance between the anamorphic adapter and the lens. You can use the rangefinder to focus on any subject within the frame.
You can use the rangefinder cine adapter to accurately focus your camera. Using this adapter minimizes the appearance of lens breathing. This adapter integrates a cine-style focus gear, allowing it easy to interface with various optional focus accessories. It also allows you to focus your camera or lens/anamorphic adapter combination from 3.4′ to infinity.
Works with SLR Magic Anamorophot adapters (1.3×50 and 2×40). You can use the Ciné rangefinder on lenses without an anamorphic adapter as well. This is useful when using lenses such as Nikon, which focus in the reverse direction from cine-lenses, or when using lenses with no focus gear or reliable distance markings.
Using the adapter allows you to reduce the effect of breathing on your lenses. Your focusing distance is accurate and repeatable. You can use the adapter to bring the minimum focus distance down to 3.5′. The front 82mm filter thread rotates as you pull focus on the adapter. This may cause unwanted visual effects when using filters such as a star or polarizer.

Diopter strength varies depending on the filter thread used. This lens is designed for use with 77mm filters.
