Where are Vortex Scopes Made?
The Vortex line of riflescopes, binoculars, and spotting scopes are made by Vortex Optics. The Vortex Optics brand name was created in 2002. The owners of Vortex Optics have been in the optical business since the 1980s.

- Vortex Viper HS LR – The Viper HS LR series are built for hunters who may be hunting and firing long range. The Viper series offer models in both SFP and FFP configuration. The HS LR models are built in the Phillipines.
- Vortex Viper HST scopes are made in the Philippines. They are designed for hunting, and they are also used by military snipers.
- Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 scoped rifles are made in the Philippines. The PST Gen 2 scopes are designed for tactical and precision shooting applications. Most Vortex riflescopes are made in Japan. That doesn’t mean they aren’t American-made. All Vortex products are designed by Americans.
