Reticle Focusing
Vortex Diamondback Tactical 3- 9×40 riflescopes use a quick focus style eyepiece. To adjust the focus, you should look through the scope at a blank white wall, or up at the sky, and turn the eyepiece knob until the reticle is blurry. Then slowly turn the eyepiece dial back until the reticle is in sharp view. This adjustment may take some time because your eyes will try to compensate for the blurred reticle.
Whenever you use the rifle scope, make sure you’re looking straight ahead. Don’t stare at the sun through the scope. This could harm your vision.
Variable Power Adjustment

Windage and Elevation Adjustments
This rifle scope has an adjustable elevation and windage setting. Each click moves the bullet’s impact by 1/4 MOA. At 100 yards, this means 1/4 inch. At 200 yards, this means 1 half inch. At 300 yards, this means 3/4 inch. To get closer or further away, you need to adjust the settings.

Re Index Adjustment Dials

Cleaning
Diamondback Tactical riflescopes require very little routine maintenance other than periodically cleaning the exterior lenses. The lenses may be cleaned by wiping them with a soft, dry cloth. Be sure to use products, like the VTX Fog-Free Cleaning Products or Lens Pen, that were specifically designed for use on coated optical lenses.
When you use a lens cleaner, make sure you clean off any dust or grit before using the lens. Use your breath, or a small amount of water or alcohol, to remove stubborn things like dried-on moisture.
Lubrication
All components of the Diamondback tactical riflescopes are permanently lubed, no additional lubricant is needed.

Storage
